Lawman commercial roofs include various membrane roof systems including EPDM, TPO and PVC. The systems include rigid insulation, underlayments, cover boards, adhesive systems, mechanical fastening, laminated plywood and ISO panels, crickets, drains, expansion joints, scuppers, edge metal, curb flashing, roof hatches and ladders. Metal roof systems including site-made standing seam metal panels, rigid insulation, moisture barriers, snow guards, solar system mounts, edge metal systems.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
- Reading and understanding roof system drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, UL requirements, SMACNA requirements and ES-1 requirements.
- Following all safety requirements as directed by Lawman, OSHA and safety plans by other entities on a jobsite.
- Maintaining Lawman tools and equipment during use and after use.
- Have extensive training in fall protection and willing to follow all fall protection rules at all times.
- Work around heavy equipment and material lifts. Assist in material handling.
- Install membrane roof systems from the deck up.
- Install SSMR roof systems from the deck up.
- Have, at minimum, a 10-Hour OSHA Card in Construction Safety
- Help to organize job materials, tools and equipment in a neat, safe and orderly fashion daily.
- Maintain a NYS drivers license and have a dependable vehicle to use for getting to and from work.
- Must be able to gain legal access to military installations and pass their security checks for entry.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This position operates from various jobsite locations.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of standing on hard surfaces.
- Routinely lift up to 75 pounds.
- Overhead work from ladders, lifting equipment and scaffolds.
- Extended periods of time exposed to the elements.
- Ability to bend, climb, pull, push, balance, kneel, twist, and climb stairs and ladders.
- Constantly working from elevated surfaces and always under fall protection.
Position Type/ Hours:
The hours for this position vary from job to job with typical working hours of 7-3:30.
Travel Requirements:
On occasion, must be available to travel domestically with overnight stays for business purposes when necessary.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of recent/relevant experience in your trade.
- Multiple job references for commercial roofing that Lawman will contact.
